"Grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. Is it possible that God says every morning, 'Do it again' to the sun; and every evening, 'Do it again' to the moon? The repetition in nature may not be a mere recurrence; it may be a theatrical encore.
G.K. Chesterton,Early 20th century writer. As quoted by Mark Batterson here. (August 18, 2007)
To exult simply means to rejoice. The truth is that we often forget that God not only created this world, our lives, and our very being; but He also sustains it all moment-by-moment. That means that many things that we see as repetition and monotony are actually a grand testimony to His great grace.
How beautiful it is to exult in the repetition of life!
